BRAND-NEW LIFE
CHRIST'S COMING-THE ANTICHRIST-THE END
Introduction
As sure as the world began, it will end. It will end the same way it began, at the word of our Creator. As this day approaches, the labor pangs of apocalypse will increasingly intensify. At an appointed time, the powers of darkness will prevail upon the earth, culminating in the unprecedented atrocities of the Antichrist. At the pinnacle of his abominable acts, the Antichrist will assemble the kingdoms of the world at Armageddon for the war of all wars, also referred to as the “Great Day of God Almighty,” “the Day Of Christ,” and the “Day Of The Lord,” when the Lord Jesus Christ will come bursting through the veil of heaven to rapture His Church and destroy the Antichrist with the brightness of His coming. Then Satan will be imprisoned and Jesus Christ will reign upon the earth for a thousand years. After the thousand years, Satan will be loosed from his prison, whereupon he will turn the nations of the world against the Kingdom of Christ, resulting in the total annihilation of his army and his condemnation to eternal hell. The earth and universe, ravaged by apocalyptic events will be dissolved at the appearing of their Creator. Finally, every human being that ever was, will appear before their Creator, where they will be assigned to their eternal destination. Those whose names have not been written in the Book of Life (non-Christians) will be assigned to eternal hell, but those whose names have been written in the Book of Life (Christians) will be assigned to eternal life in a new world where darkness, evil, sin, sorrow, pain, and death will be no more. In this new world, Christians will live in the light and presence of God. This is truly the ultimate realization of a Brand-New Life.
Let me insert a disclaimer here. I don’t believe anyone, including myself, knows exactly how all these end-time events are going to unfold. I have endeavored and it has been my intention to keep these events in scriptural context and present them to the best of my understanding. First and foremost, I’m not the infallible Word of God, and neither is anyone else, so always “search the scriptures” to confirm that what you read or hear from other sources is founded and in context with the Bible. The Bible tells us that there are things concerning these prophetic scriptures that have been sealed up until the time of the end. This means no one can know all there is to know about the end, until the end. (Acts 17:11) (Dan. 12:4,9)
Revelation 12
Setting the Stage
Revelation chapter 12 sets the stage, introduces the characters, and reveals the underlying plot that will usher the world to its grand finale and final curtain. It is a summary of Satan’s past and present hostility against God and His covenant people and the war between good and evil that will eventually culminate in the apocalypse, the complete and final destruction of the world.
The Red Dragon
Before God created the world, He created the angels to serve Him, but Lucifer (Bright Star), the most brilliant and glorious of all angels, wanted to be God. This resulted in a desertion in the heavenly realm, and Lucifer amassed an enumerable third of the host of angels to abandon their heavenly home to follow him. After this heavenly defection, Lucifer became Satan (Adversary/Enemy) and his fallen angels became demons. Satan and his demons have since waged an invisible war of deceit against the inhabitants of earth. Satan’s inaugural act of deception upon creation was to deceive Adam and Eve into disobeying God’s one command, and consequently the whole world was cursed with sin, death, and eternal condemnation. Adam listened to Satan and believed that he could be his own god, and humanity’s been cursed with that same ambition ever since. In Revelation 12, the Red Dragon with “seven heads and ten horns,” represents Satan’s influence upon the powers of Rome to destroy the “Male Child,” (Jesus) at His birth.
The Woman and Her Son
The “woman” in Revelation chapter 12 represents God’s covenant people, Israel. Satan and his demons especially hate God’s covenant people, and employ every form of deceit imaginable to undermine their faith in God. Throughout ancient history, Israel waited expectantly for a promised Son, the Messiah (Anointed One) that would reign over them forever. The “Male Child” in Revelation chapter 12 is this promised Son. It is obvious this promised Son who would be “caught up to the throne of God, and rule all nations with a rod of iron,” is the Lord Jesus Christ who lay aside His deity in Heaven to be born the helpless baby of a poor Jewish peasant girl. When Jesus was born, Satan, through his wicked emissary King Herod acting under the powers of Rome, attempted to destroy Him, but Mary and Joseph, representing the “woman,” (Israel) were warned in a dream to flee with Jesus into the wilderness, into Egypt, foiling Satan’s diabolical plan. After Jesus completed His ministry, God allowed Satan to have Him executed at the hand of the Roman government, which became Satan’s demise when Jesus death and resurrection established Him as Savior of the world. After His resurrection, Jesus ascended to Heaven to the Throne of God where He awaits the day of His return and reign upon the earth.
The War in Heaven
The war in Heaven mentioned in Revelation chapter 12 is a battle that takes place in the Heavenly realm. Since his fall, Satan has been permitted access before God to make accusations against God’s covenant people. As described in Revelation 12, this war between angels and demons, results in the expulsion of Satan and his demons from the heavenly realm forever, whereupon Satan is never permitted to accuse God’s people again. According to some scholars, this event may have taken place at the death and resurrections of Christ; according to others it’s a futuristic event that will unfold as the end draws near. Regardless, we know Satan is working to bring catastrophic events to the inhabitants of earth and to usher in the greatest atrocities and annihilation the world has ever seen. Satan, knowing his time is short, continues to persecute Israel. Even when He sends a flood of armies to destroy her, she will be protected from obliteration. Remember, Apostle Paul said, “one day all Israel will be saved,” and they can’t be saved if they are obliterated from the earth.
The Offspring of The Woman
With Israel out of reach, Satan’s extreme wrath will be focused on the “offspring” of Israel. According to Revelation chapter 12, these are those who “keep the commandments of God” and “hold the testimony of Jesus.” The offspring can only be Christians, because they are the only ones who both keep the commands of God and hold to the testimony of Jesus. They are the offspring of Israel because they were born into God’s covenant family by the influence of Jewish Christians in the first century. These apocalyptic Christians will suffer Satan’s wrath at the hand of his emissary, the Antichrist, but they will not suffer the “wrath of God” that’s coming on the Antichrist and his followers.
The Coming Apocalypse
Signs of The End
When will the end come? This is what the whole world wants to know. This has been the center of speculation for thousands of years. This is what the disciples of Jesus wanted to know over two thousand years ago when they ask Him, “What will be the sign of Your coming and the end of the world?” In Matthew chapter 24, Jesus presented the most straightforward explanation of end time events found in the Bible. Jesus describes the things that will happen, as the end gets closer and closer. He describes the global persecution of Christians, wars, natural disasters, and the deteriorating social and moral behavior of humanity, which things will increase in severity, intensity, and frequency, like the labor pangs of a pregnant woman. As these labor pangs progress, those living in the last generations will become completely degenerate, every thought of their heart will be continually upon evil. They will be obsessed with every kind of perversion imaginable. Their obsessions with homosexuality and sexual perversions against women and children will result in their complete depravity. Every kind of immoral obscenity and indulgence will leave their consciences obliterated. Marriage and family the way God intended, will become socially rejected. The last generations of humanity will be raised in dysfunctional sacrilegious families, learning no moral code, nor knowing the difference between right and wrong. They will have no fear of God, nor reluctance of doing evil. They will be merciless and cold-hearted, selfish and greedy. Without conscience, consumed by hatred, and having no regard for life, they will be a generation of sociopaths. Yet in all this darkness, Jesus says the good news of His forgiveness and salvation will be proclaimed throughout the whole world. Out of this last dark generation, the Antichrist will rise.
The Antichrist
The idea of a coming Antichrist has been around long before the writers of the New Testament. In the Old and New Testaments, he has been described in many ways, but not as “antichrist” until penned by John in the book of 1 John. This evil man described as the “blasphemer of God,” “son of perdition,” “lawless one,” and “man of sin,” from that time forward became known as the “Antichrist.” The Antichrist and his kingdom are best described in the prophetic Bible books of Daniel and Revelation. These prophetic books use symbolic language and metaphors to describe the empires that have been and those to come that will eventually bring forth the kingdom of the Antichrist. They use words like “beasts,” “horns,” and “heads,” to describe empires, kingdoms, governments, kings, and rulers. These metaphors are sometimes used interchangeably to describe both the king and his kingdom. This is seen in Daniel chapter 7, verses 17 and 23. The King and his Kingdom are inseparable; they are as one in the same. This interchangeability however, does not change the characters or the events.
Though unlikely, it is possible that the events described in Daniel chapter 7 and Revelation chapters 13 and 17 are completely futuristic, meaning the events described in them could not be explained by anything we currently know now or in history. It is most likely, that many of these events have already taken place, with the remaining yet to be fulfilled. The following explanation of these prophetic books is very compatible to the events described in scripture, and are based on Biblical and non-Biblical history.
Daniel chapter 7 and Revelation chapter 13 describe prophetic visions of empires, and rulers that rise and fall successively one after the other, the successors absorbing their predecessors until their climatic metamorphosis into the empire of the Antichrist at the end of time.
The four beasts described in Daniel 7 are incorporated into the first beast in Revelation 13. Notice the first beast in Revelation 13 mentions the same Lion, Bear, and Leopard, mentioned in Daniel 7, all merged into one beast, but it does not mention the fourth beast in Daniel 7, because the fourth beast in Daniel 7 is the first beast in Revelation 13. The four beasts described in Daniel 7 are the Babylonian Empire, absorbed by the Media Persian Empire, absorbed by the Grecian Empire (that later divided into Greece, Turkey, Syria, and Egypt), absorbed finally by the Roman Empire. The four empires in Daniel 7 culminate into the Roman Empire, which is the first Beast and empire mentioned in Revelation 13. According to Daniel 7, out of this empire (Roman) will arise a unique Little Horn, a unique small, but powerful kingdom like no other kingdom on earth. This unique kingdom and government, destined to rule the world in the end times, has its seat of authority in Rome.
It seems logical to me, if the first Beast in Revelation 13 is the Roman Empire, the Little Horn in Daniel 7, that rises out of the Rome Empire, must be the second Beast in Revelation 13, who is later called the False Prophet in Revelation 19. Therefore, it would also seem logical, that the False Prophet and his unique small kingdom, is none other than the Antichrist. In alliance with Satan and the powers of Rome, the Antichrist is part of an unholy trinity, that I will refer to as, “The False Theocracy.” I call it a “Theocracy,” because these three will not only be against Christ, they will try to usurp Christ as supreme LORD and King. Particularly, and more importantly, the Antichrist will try to take the place of Christ and profess himself to be God. Also, as part of The False Theocracy, the unique small kingdom that will rise out of Rome, may also be referred to as “Babylon the great harlot” in Revelation 17, referring to it as, “that great city that rules over the kings of the earth.”
In summary, the prophesies of Daniel 7 and Revelation 13 describe a unique small dominion, a powerful government like no other that will emerge from the Roman Empire, and from this powerful dominion, the Antichrist will rise. This makes perfect sense, considering the powers of Rome crucified Christ, and the powers of Rome have caused the deaths of more Christians and Protestants than any other powers on earth.
The Mark of The Beast
According to Revelation chapter 13, The Antichrist will deceive most of the world with false miracles, and make them build an image (idol, abomination) to the powers of Rome, and then force them to worship the image, or be executed. The Antichrist determines to impose a mark of allegiance on everyone, so that no one can buy or sell anything without the mark. Those who do not receive this mark will be unable to buy or sell, and the Antichrist will seek to eradicate them from the earth. True Christians will not accept this mark, nor worship the powers of Rome nor the Antichrist; they will receive strength from God to stand and defy the Antichrist and the powers of Rome, just as true Christians did when Christianity began.
Great Tribulation and Apostasy
With the rise of the Antichrist, unprecedented distress and suffering will come upon the inhabitants of earth. Natural disasters and world wars will ravage the cities of the world with cataclysmic devastation, leaving millions of people dead, and billions homeless and destitute. The whole world will be consumed by chaos, devastated by horrific events the likes of which the world has never seen, a period of time like never before nor that ever will be again, and yet out of this tribulation the true Church of Jesus Christ will emerge. False Christ’s, false prophets, and false ministers will lead humanity away from the truth of the Holy Bible, and thousands who follow Christ in pretense will fall away from the faith, leaving only the faithful, those who have been purified by fire, and prepared to give their last breath to exalt the Lord Jesus Christ. Those that fall away, will no doubt be those who in fear collapse under the oppression of the Antichrist, and receive the mark of the powers of Rome (Beast) mentioned in Revelation 13. This time of great destress will result in a cleansing of the bride of Christ (Church), where she will be purified and prepared to meet the LORD in the air, at His second coming.
The Abomination of Desolation
After attaining supreme and absolute power, the Antichrist, lifted up in pride and arrogance, will proclaim to be God. He will erect an abomination (idol) in the Temple of God, standing it in the Holy Place upon the rock Threshing Floor where the Holy of Holies and the Ark of the Covenant once stood thousands of years ago. The place where the Antichrist stands this idol has great significance when you understand its history and future. This rock threshing floor was used to thresh grain in ancient times, and may have been the place where Melchizedek the King of Salem (Ancient Jerusalem) and great High Priest of God offered sacrifices to God on Mount Moriah during the lifetime of Abraham, and may have been the place where Abraham offered up Isaac in Genesis chapter 22. In 2 Samuel chapter 24, King David bought this threshing floor and offered a sacrifice to the LORD upon it to stop a plague that was destroying Israel, and in 2 Chronicles chapter 3, King Solomon built the first Jewish Temple on top of it. The nation of Israel built/rebuilt three Temples on top of this rock, the last one destroyed by Rome approximately thirty years after Rome crucified Christ. Today this rock is considered to be the holiest place on earth. It now sits under the Islamic Dome of the Rock in Jerusalem where the three Jewish Temples of God once stood. The idol erected by the Antichrist may very well be the image of the Beast (the powers of Rome) described in Revelation chapter 13. This is the Abomination that will cause the desolation of Jerusalem described in Daniel chapters 9 and 11, Matthew chapter 24, and Luke chapter 21. When this idol is erected in the Temple of God, armies will surround and desolate Jerusalem. According to the timeline of Matthew 24, Luke 21, and Revelations 16, this desolation of Jerusalem aligns very well with the “Great Day of God Almighty,” the battle of Armageddon. Jesus forewarned His followers of this coming destruction, when He told them to get out of Jerusalem quickly when they see it surrounded by armies, but He also told them when they begin to see these things unfolding, to lift up their heads, for their redemption is drawing near. Revelations 16:15 makes a similar reference to His coming just before Armageddon. The setting up of the abomination that makes desolate will usher in the downfall of The Antichrist. It is important for us to understand, before the Antichrist can defile the Temple of God, the Dome of the Rock must be destroyed and the Jewish Temple rebuilt in its place.
I would like to interject an observation here, in Matthew 24 and Luke 21 Jesus is talking to His disciples, those who would soon be Christians, and He says to them, “when you see the abomination of desolation,” meaning if this were to happen in their lifetime, they would see it and need to flee the destruction of Jerusalem. Since Jesus didn’t know the time of His return, (Only the Father knows) He’s speaking to them as though He were coming in their lifetime, but we know His return is still pending. Although, if Christ would have returned in their lifetime, He made it very clear that they (Christians) would see the abomination of desolation; therefore, if Christ were to return in our lifetime, Christians in our lifetime will see the abomination of desolation. Therefore, this makes it very clear that the rapture of the church cannot take place prior to the abomination of desolation, which occurs at the pentacle of the Antichrist’s reign, and during the time of great tribulation.
The Final Plagues
With the erecting of the abominable idol in the Temple of God, and the arrogance of the Antichrist, catastrophic events will unfold as God’s judgment is enacted upon the Antichrist and those who receive the mark of the Beast (The powers of Rome). The Seven Seals, the Seven Trumpets, and the Seven Bowls of The Wrath of God mentioned in the Book of Revelation describe overlapping events that will culminate into the Day of The Lord and the subsequent annihilation of the powers of Rome and the Antichrist. The earth will be ravaged by storms and fire that will destroy vegetation, resulting in hunger and starvation. A great volcanic eruption, and a meteor will poison the seas and rivers of the earth eventually killing everything living thing in them. Figuratively, these events could be describing a nuclear holocaust resulting from massive explosions and radiation poisoning. The burning heat of the sun (possible solar flares) will cause cancerous lesions to afflict those who have received the mark of the Beast. Satan’s tormentors will be released from the spiritual underworld to torment those who worship the False Theocracy and receive the mark of the Beast, and their torment will be so great they will seek to die, but death will elude them. In darkness they will gnaw their tongues in pain. When this day of God’s vengeance and wrath comes, Christians will be exempt; though they will suffer the wrath of the Antichrist, they will not suffer the wrath of God, for God’s anger will not be toward His own, but those who worship the powers of Rome and the Antichrist. In all these judgments, the wicked will refuse to repent of their evil, choosing rather to curse the God who could save them.
Armageddon
Toward the end of the final plagues, a mighty army of two hundred million soldiers will come out of the East unleashing a massive holocaust upon the earth. They will align with the armies of the whole world, and be assembled for the “Great Day of God Almighty” the battle of Armageddon, by the powers of the False Theocracy (Satan, Rome, Antichrist). It is at this point in Revelation 16:15 that John inserts an interlude in the sequence of events, encouraging Christians to be ready, because the Lord Jesus Christ is coming suddenly and unexpectedly, like a thief in the night. Take note here, that there would be no point in John inserting this encouragement, if the rapture of the Church had already taken place. The battle of Armageddon aligns with the timeline of Matthew 24, Luke 21, and Revelations 16, to bring about the desolation of Jerusalem which occurs directly after the Antichrist sets up his abomination in the temple of God. Remember, Christ told the disciples when they see the armies gathered around Jerusalem, to lift up their heads, for their redemption is near. Note here again, that there would be no point in Christ encouraging His followers to look for their redemption, if the rapture of the Church had already taken place. In both instances, Christians are encouraged to expect Christ’s return to rapture His Church when they see the abomination of the Antichrist that culminates in Armageddon.
The Coming of Christ
Now, before we proceed with the final end-time events, I’d like to clear up what I believe are misconceptions concerning some illustrations Jesus used in the Bible. When Jesus was on earth, He gave His disciples several illustrations to describe His return. He said His coming would be like a thief, meaning He’s coming unexpectedly; He said His coming would be like “lightening coming from the east and flashing to the west,” meaning He’s coming for all to see him; and He said, “where the carcass is there will the vultures be gathered together,” meaning at His coming, His elect (Church) would be gathered to Him. Reading these scriptures in context is the key to their interpretation. Don’t be distracted by the imagery here and miss the intended message. Don’t focus on vultures, or on a carcass. We naturally don’t like to associate ourselves with vultures or Jesus with a carcass. For that reason, many people misinterpret this passage. The focus should be on many things gathered to one thing, the Church being gathered to Jesus. This is an analogy of the rapture. Jesus comes in the clouds, sending His angels to gather the church to Him in the air. We must always look for the intended message and not focus so much on making something out of the objects of the illustration. Another example of this is when Jesus compares His ministry to the “snake lifted up in the wilderness” in John 3:14, which had nothing to do with a snake, nor Jesus comparing Himself to a snake, but that He would be lifted up on a cross so that all could see Him and be saved. It is also important to remember the context in which Jesus is speaking in Matthew chapter 24, when He associates His coming and the end as the same event. In 2Thessalonians chapter 2, Paul associates the “coming of Jesus,” our “gathering together to Him,” (Rapture) and the “Day of the Lord,” as the same event. So, if we put these together in context, the coming of Jesus, the rapture of the Church, and the Day of the Lord are parts of a continuous event that will unfold at the very end of time. This would mean the return of Christ to rapture His Church is the same event as the second coming of Christ; He came the first time as a lamb, was executed, came back to life, and ascended to Heaven where He awaits His return; His return will be His second appearance (second coming) to the inhabitants of earth, when He comes to get His Church and destroy the Antichrist. There are many scriptures that support this. I have tried to be very objective and open minded, but I just can’t find any legitimate evidence in scripture to support the rapture and second coming of Christ as two separate events.
Now, let us continue with the coming of Christ. With the Great Tribulation, and final last plagues of God’s vengeance at full intensity, and the armies of the world assembled at Armageddon, the apocalyptic “Great Day of God Almighty,” the “Day of The Lord” will finally come. When non-Christians see these events taking place, many of them will be so terrified that their hearts will literally fail with fear, but when Christians see these things, they will know their redemption is near. If God were to allow the prolonging of these events, no living thing would survive; but in this darkest hour, when life on earth is at the verge of extinction, God will fulfill His long-awaited promise. (Luke 21:26-2 (Matt. 24:22)
The opening of the Sixth Seal in Revelation chapter 6 unleashes cataclysmic events in the universe affecting the natural laws that govern the celestial bodies. With the sound of a great explosion, the veil of the heavens will split apart, hurling meteors upon the earth, cloaking the sun and moon in darkness, and spawning an earthquake so great it will move every island and mountain out of its place. The continuation of the seventh bowl of wrath mentioned in Revelation chapter 16, describes a massive earthquake, like never before, that will demolish the cities of the world; this earthquake will be so great that every island on earth will be engulfed in the seas and mountains will be no more. Then a plague of enormous hailstones will be unleashed upon the inhabitants of earth, and yet after all these judgments, humanity will continue to disdain God, speaking contempt to the only One who could save them.
The Arch Angel of God will shout, the seventh and last trumpet will sound, and the Lord Jesus Christ, The King of kings and LORD of lords will pierce the veil of the universe into the clouds in transcendent power and magnificent glory with an innumerable army of angels. Christians who have died will be resurrected to immortality, and then the Christians who are still living will be transformed instantaneously into immortals, and Jesus will send His angels to gather and rapture them up to be with Him in the air. (Matt. 24:21,30) (1Thes. 4:16-17)
The manifestation of the King of kings exploding through the veil of the universe into earth’s atmosphere with unprecedented power and glory will mean the end of all suffering and death for Christians, but for non-Christians it will be the beginning of terror. In horror, non-Christians will cry out and seek to die in order to escape the horrific wrath of the King of kings and LORD of lords. This same Jesus that came to earth the first time as a humble Lamb will return the second time as a conquering Lion. Then King Jesus will descend from the heavens with tens of thousands of His saints and an innumerable army of angels. The Antichrist will be destroyed by the brightness of His coming and by the breath of His mouth, and the armies of the world gathered at Armageddon, to fight the war of all wars, “The Great Day of God Almighty,” will be trodden down like grapes in the “wine press of the wrath of God,” for they will be no contest for the transcendent Son of Almighty God. The powers of Rome and the Antichrist will be thrown into the lake of eternal hellfire, and their mighty army, that dared to oppose the Omnipotent Creator of the universe will be slaughter one and all. The Bible poses this question, when this day comes, “who will be able to stand?” (Rev. 6:16-17) (2 Thes. 2) (Rev. 19:11-21)
The Resurrected Dead
Revelation chapter 20 describes two resurrections that will take place at the end of time, the “first resurrection” and the “second death.” The first resurrection refers to resurrected Christians, including those who hadn’t physically died, but were transformed, “changed in the twinkling of an eye,” and they will reign with Christ for a thousand years. The “second death” refers to the resurrection of non-Christians, but they will not be resurrected until after the thousand-year reign of Christ. It is important to note here that eventually everyone who has ever lived or ever will live, will be resurrected, Christians to eternal life (first resurrection) in the presence of God, and non-Christians will be resurrected to eternal death (second death) in the never-ending flames and darkness of eternal Hell. Therefore, Christians will only die once when their temporal body is no more, and they will receive an eternal body designed for eternal life in Heaven, but non-Christians will die twice (second death) when their temporal body is no more, they will receive an eternal body designed for eternal death in Hell, that is to say, a body that will burn in agony, but never be consumed, it will burn in torment forever and ever with no hope of the torment ever ending. The second death is the horrible cost exacted on those who chose not to honor the sacrificial death of God’s only Son, choosing not to believe Him and choosing not to receive the gift of salvation and eternal life He offered, and by this, accounting His sacrifice as nothing worthy of acceptance. (1Co. 15:51-53) (1Th. 4:16-17)
The Millennium
Following the Great Day of God Almighty and the triumph of King Jesus at Armageddon, the angel of God will capture Satan and confine him in the abyss where he will be imprisoned for one thousand years. Those peoples and nations that survive the holocaust of Armageddon will live in a world in which Satan will be unable to influence them for a thousand years. King Jesus will establish His Millennial Kingdom on earth and rule all the nations of the world with a rod of iron, and His resurrected Church will reign with Him. (Rev. 20:2-7)
The End of Satan
After the thousand years reign of King Jesus, Satan will be released from his prison. Once again, he will deceive the nations and instigate another revolt against King Jesus. He will amass an enumerable army that will surround the Holy City, but fire will come out of heaven and destroy his mighty army. Then Satan will be captured and thrown into the eternal fires of Hell where he will never be heard from again. (Rev. 20:7-10)
The Final Judgment
After the Millennial reign of King Jesus and Satan’s demise, the long-awaited time of God’s final judgment will come. A divine court will be convened, and in the court will sit a magnificent great white throne. The Almighty Creator God will appear in the court, and at His appearance the earth and universe, consumed with fire, will dissolve and vanish from His glorious presence, and they will be no more. The All-mighty, All-knowing, All-present LORD God will sit upon the great white throne, for He alone will be the final judge of all things. All the dead, small and great, rich and poor, good and bad will stand before the One Triune God to give an account of their deeds. The record of their life’s deeds will be exposed, and no matter how good, none of their deeds will meet the requirements to earn eternal life in Heaven. In the end, all that will matter, all that will decide whether or not a person is granted eternal life in Heaven or eternal death in Hell depends on whether or not their name has been recorded in the Book of Life. The Book of Life contains the names of those whose sins are forgiven, whose deeds are washed clean by the sacrificial blood of Jesus. These are the ones who did not depend upon their own righteousness or goodness, but upon the righteousness of Jesus to save them; these are the ones that simply believed God as father Abraham did thousands of years ago; these are the ones that believed God’s testimony of Jesus as Son of God and Messiah; these are the ones that not only believed in God, but believed God by taking Him at His Word, as is recorded in the Holy Bible; Finally, these are the ones that have been spiritually reborn, crucified and raised with Christ, and saved from spiritual death, to live a brand-new life. Therefore, everyone standing before God, whose names are not written in the Book of Life, (Those of the 2 Death) no matter how good or how bad, will be thrown into the lake of fire, where they will exist in burning torment and darkness forever and ever with no hope of its end. This will be the punishment for those who take the sacrifice of God’s Son in vain, and accounting His gift unworthy of acceptance. (Rev. 20: 11-15) (2Pe. 3:7-12) (Gen. 12:1-4) (Rom. 4:3) (Jhn. 3:16-21) (Jhn. 3:3-7) (1 Pe. 1:23) (Gal. 2:20)
A New Heaven and Earth
With the former earth and universe eradicated, and the final judgment of God completed, a new eternal age will begin. In Revelation Chapters 21 and 22 God gives us a glimpse of this new eternal age. God will present a new earth and universe, and upon the earth a magnificent new holy city of brilliance called New Jerusalem. The walls around the city will be made of pure and perfect jewels, and it will have twelve gates each made of a single peril. The streets of the city will be pure gold like transparent glass, and a crystal-clear river will flow through the middle of it, and there will be a tree of life bearing all kinds of fruit. There will not be a temple in New Jerusalem, because God and Jesus will be its temple. There will not be nighttime, nor any darkness there, nor will there be a sun to give it light, because the glory of God and Jesus will be its perpetual light.
It’s hard to comprehend or imagine, but this will be a perfect world; There will be no evil, no sin, no wrong, no temptation, no lust, no greed, no fear, no sorrow, no pain, no crying, no worry, no anger, no jealousy, no doubt, no hunger, no thirst, no discouragement, no depression, no addictions, no disappointments, no sickness, no disease, no loneliness, no hopelessness, no fighting, no hurt feelings, no offences, no judging, no distractions, no favoritism, and there will be no death. Everything in this new world will be spotless and without blemish, including the true Church of Jesus. The true Church, the bride of Christ, those whose names are written in the Book of Life, will shine like the stars, and they will live in the presence of the One True Almighty God without end. Though everything in this new world will sparkle with excessive brilliance, and though everything will radiate with inexpressible glory; In all its glory this new world will be dim in comparison to the glory and radiance of Jesus, the King of kings and LORD of lords.
The Invitation
The Holy Bible ends with an invitation to every person regardless of race, nationality, or status; It doesn’t matter what color you are, or where you’re from, or if you’re good or bad, rich or poor; it doesn’t matter what you’ve done or not done, the invitation is to you! You have been invited to come to the Lord Jesus Christ and to receive His gift of eternal life. Jesus gave His life to save you from eternal doom! Will you accept His invitation and receive His gift of salvation? Will you believe and trust Jesus to save you and give you eternal life? The invitation is to you, but you must choose to accept it; the choice is yours. Please choose Jesus! Please choose a brand-new life! (Jhn. 3:16) (Rev. 3:20) (Rev. 22:17)
